Starting Instructions

The regatta will be split into two similarly sized fleets and introducing an IRC Class.

Class 1 boats
10.35 meters or 34.1 feet and over

Class 1 Flag

Class 2 boats
10.3 meters or 34. feet and under

Class 2 Flag

IRC boats

All yachts with a handicap of 97 or less will also be automatically placed in Class 1
please check.

Both boats forming the starting line; "Patsy Jean" and an other, shall fly large chequered flags on their stern,

At the 10 minute gun for Class 2 & IRC (approximately 2pm) the red, white and blue tricolour will be raised.

At the Class 2 & IRC start, the tricolour falls and the class 1 flag is raised.
This is also the Class 1 - 10 minute warning.

10 minutes later the class 1 flag falls to indicate the Class 1 start.

10 minute and 5 minute to go warnings will be called on VHF channel 8 and by warning guns for both classes.
